We count the pages
Counting starts automatically. If a PDF needs a password, enter it beside that file and choose Retry.
Save your report
Copy or download a text report with per-file counts, the total and any files that were not counted.
Physical pages, including blanks
The counter reads the PDF page tree and resolves every page. It includes blank pages and scans. Printed page numbers, Roman numerals and custom page labels do not change the count. Bookmarks, forms and annotations are supported without rewriting your PDF.
Passwords and practical limits
Encrypted PDFs may need the correct password. Unsupported encryption or unreadable documents show an error instead of a guessed count. Browser memory can limit very large or complex PDFs; cancel a slow run or try fewer files. XFA forms count existing PDF pages; dynamically generated XFA layouts are not rendered.
Frequently asked questions
Does this upload or change my PDFs?
No. PDF parsing runs in your browser using your selected files. No file contents, filenames or passwords are sent to a server or saved by this tool. Copy and Download save only the report when you request them; your original PDFs stay unchanged.
Why is my total smaller than expected?
The total includes only successfully counted entries. Check for a password prompt, unreadable PDF, cancelled run or waiting file. Blank pages count, but a printed page number is a label rather than a physical count.
What happens when I cancel or add more files?
Cancel stops processing and preserves completed counts. Count remaining resumes files that were cancelled or are waiting. Adding files counts only the new entries. Passwords are cleared after a successful count. Retry reads only that password-protected file. Reset clears the selection, passwords and report.
