Frequently asked questions
Will my styled QR code still scan?
There is no universal scanning guarantee. Contrast, shapes, logo coverage, code density, print size, lighting and scanner support all matter. High error correction adds redundancy but does not guarantee recovery from a logo of any particular size. Start with a small logo, use dark modules on a light background, and scan your actual output with the intended device or app. For difficult scans, try square modules and remove the logo.
How are logos placed and protected?
The image fits inside a centered square box with padding and keeps its proportions. Your width setting includes that padding. QR function patterns are drawn above the logo to preserve their light and dark cells; this can interrupt a large logo or one over a central alignment pattern. The four-module quiet zone remains outside the code.
What happens to SVG or animated logos?
SVG logos become a static raster image using a local renderer and bundled DejaVu font. External images, remote fonts and scripts are not loaded, so those parts may be absent and text can look different. Other images use the browser's decoder and orientation handling; animations use one frame. PNG and SVG outputs do not preserve animation or source metadata.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a raster image at the displayed pixel dimensions. SVG keeps the QR modules as vector shapes, with any logo embedded as a PNG. The color, shape, quiet zone and content are the same. Keep the image square and the margin intact. Both downloads are static: editing this form creates a new code and does not change a file you already shared.
Why did generation fail?
QR capacity depends on content and the fixed high correction level; shorten content if it exceeds the encoder's capacity. Browser memory, canvas and image decoder support determine practical export sizes. Try fewer pixels per module or another logo if export fails. There is no extra file-size or text-length cap.
