How to place your signature

Select a PDF, then draw, type, or choose your signature image. Nothing is filled in for you.

2. Position and check

Choose pages, size, position and rotation. Create the PDF and inspect the saved preview.

3. Save your file

Download your PDF. Each run starts from your original file; reset clears your selections and drawing.

Existing content stays in place

Pages are not flattened or reordered. Original text and images are retained; the signature is added as an image overlay. Forms and annotations may appear above the signature. Check complex interactive PDFs in your reader.

Review the saved appearance

Drawn and typed signatures become transparent images, not editable text or signature fields. Image backgrounds stay intact. This tool does not remove metadata, sanitize PDFs, or compress files; the output can be larger.

Browser compatibility

Requires a current browser. Encrypted or unreadable PDFs cannot be processed. Large documents may exceed available browser memory; cancel stops processing.

Frequently asked questions

Does this create a digital signature?

It places your supplied visual appearance. It does not use a certificate, verify identity, or establish cryptographic authenticity. Existing digital signatures are invalidated when the file is saved.

Can I place it on multiple pages?

Yes. Enter page numbers and ranges, or leave the field blank for all pages. The same relative size and position are used on each selected page, accounting for its visible crop and rotation.

Why is my signature faint or missing?

Transparent images or colors matching page content can be invisible. Use a contrasting color and inspect the preview. Typed text uses bundled DejaVu fonts and browser fallback; check uncommon characters.

Can I undo or move it later?

Before downloading, change any setting and create again from the original. The downloaded appearance is part of the page content. Keep your original PDF if you need an unsigned copy.
