How to delete pages from a PDF
To delete pages from a PDF, choose the file, then tell the tool which pages to remove. The tool checks each entry before it runs, so a mistyped page number is caught early.
- Select Choose PDF and pick one PDF file. The tool reads its page count automatically, and the label then changes to Replace PDF.
- In Pages to delete, type page numbers and ranges such as 2, 5-7, separated by commas. The line below the field updates as you type and shows how many pages are selected and how many will remain.
- Select Delete selected pages, or press Enter in the page list.
- Select Download PDF once it appears, or Cancel while the run is in progress.
Clear selection empties the page list without losing the file. Reset releases the file, its page list and any result, ready for a new PDF.
What changes when pages are deleted
Deleting rebuilds the file from only the pages you keep, so document-level extras do not carry over: bookmarks, custom page labels, viewer preferences and metadata such as title and author are gone. A digital signature stops verifying once pages are deleted; its visible appearance, if any, stays as flat content on the page.
Each kept page keeps its own dimensions, crop box and rotation; this tool does not resize, compress or run OCR, so fewer pages does not mean a smaller file. Layer visibility and print color profiles are not copied, so a layered or print-ready PDF can look different.
Form fields are flattened into page content, so values stay visible but are no longer editable. Comments keep their appearance but lose their action data. An internal link to another page is removed, since that page may be gone; a plain web address link is kept. Any page-level file attachment is removed too, whether or not you keep that page.
Limits
Page numbers are physical positions starting at 1, not printed page labels. A cover page or front matter can make the printed number different from the physical position, so count from the first physical page when unsure.
This tool has no password field, so an encrypted PDF is reported rather than opened; save an unprotected copy first, then reopen it here. A file that fails a structural check, such as a missing end marker or an invalid page size, is reported as corrupt rather than partly processed. If a form cannot be flattened, the tool asks for a copy from a PDF viewer instead.
The tool reads one PDF at a time, and a large or complex file can need more memory than the browser tab has. If a run fails partway through, no partial download is offered, and the file you chose is unaffected.
Questions
Can I remove every page from a PDF?
No. A PDF needs at least one page, so this tool refuses to delete every page, including a single-page PDF's only page, and reports the problem instead of producing an empty file. The count below the field shows how many pages will remain before you delete.
Does this tool change my original PDF?
No. The tool reads your original file and writes a separate, new PDF; your original is never modified. Content from a deleted page can stay in the file when a kept page shares the same object, so this is not secure redaction.
How do I delete pages from a PDF for free, without Adobe?

How do I delete more than one page or a range of pages at once?
Pages to delete accepts single numbers and ranges together in one comma-separated list, such as 2, 5-7, 10. Every number in the list is treated as a page to remove, and overlapping or repeated entries are only counted once, so you can list pages in any order.
Why does the tool say a page number is invalid?
The message names the exact problem: a number past the file's last page, a range written backwards such as 7-3, page 0 (pages start at 1), a character it cannot read as a page, or an unfinished entry such as a trailing comma. Fix the named part and the page count below the field updates.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Deleting pages happens entirely in your browser: the PDF is read, its pages copied and rebuilt locally in a Web Worker, and no page content, file name or page list you type is ever sent anywhere or saved in browser storage between visits.
